Envision:
The activities within this phase will primarily focus on the mobilization
& organizational details of the project. A strategic analysis
on opportunities for a completely new application implementation versus
scalability of the existing technology will be performed. A program
management & advisory structure with stake holders, client management
& experienced consultants will be put in place & empowered
to make critical decisions. Simultaneously, a business case will also
be developed that will provide the client with the expected benefits
of the intended solution. Once the business case is found acceptable,
a project charter and work plan, describing the scope of activities
to be completed in the next phase will be created.

Validate:
This phase will delve in to the details of the assessment and validation
of the existing technological infrastructure. Opportunities coming
out of the previous phase for new application needs or scalability
of the existing technology will be assessed and scoped out. Our
Business Process Templates will be utilized to map out the existing
business processes against established best practices & opportunities
to re-design (either process wise or technology enabled) will be
determined. Also, preliminary work on assessing the training and
deployment needs based on the technology & processes will be
conducted. The business case will be refined through out this phase
to provide for any changes in benefits that may be triggered due
to scope change.

Build:
This is the phase where the technology will be enabled to meet the
requirements of the client. New development work (either customized
or package integration, interfaces etc.) or enhancement to existing
applications will be undertaken. Existing or new operating procedures
for the infrastructure, application & the business processes
will be assessed, developed or modified accordingly to meet the
needs of the solution. A change readiness assessment will be conducted
and a plan for the new organizational structure (including site/
location needs, recruiting & deployment) will also be developed.

Orient:
The new or modified solution will be implemented & extensively
tested to meet the needs of the client. Formal test plans &
procedures will be developed and utilized to structure these tests.
Quality standards & review processes will also be developed
along with a rollout of end-user education and on-site training.
Primarily this phase will stress on the orientation of the new organizational
structure with the new system & processes and extensive rehearsals
will be undertaken before beginning the Operating phase. This will
help develop a smoother transition process from the existing system.
Data migration, cutover readiness & site deployment processes
will also be conducted during this phase.
Operate:
The operation of the solution will be monitored and a support structure
(technology, HR & training) will be developed to support this
phase. Reporting & analysis tools will be developed to monitor
the performance of the system. A continuous quality enhancement
training, mentoring & compensation review process will also
be developed.
Running through out the different phases of the implementation will
be the threads of program management & reporting, change readiness,
risk assessment, scope & issue resolution.
